How do you tackle challenges?

It’s spring break right now and I always cherish moments like these to recharge and spend quality time with my family. This year, we snuck away and are spending a few nights in Fargo. My husband and I joked today that we’ve been waiting for this moment for 8 years… our boys are all finally old enough and comfortable enough in the water to go in the pool without us! Glorious! As I sat back and enjoyed watching them play, I noticed that my oldest was tackling a fun challenge! I knew I had to capture a few moments on video, and not surprisingly, he demonstrated a process that I hope you can relate to, too! Take a peak, and get ready to smile from ear to ear!

Challenges can be hard. Sometimes, we don’t know the best way to go about them, but the first step to growth is always to give it a try…

And try again…

And again…

And then maybe, you’ll reflect and figure out that the approach you’ve been using isn’t proving to be as successful as you’d hope. So, you decide to try something else. You take a look at your surroundings… What could help you be successful? Maybe it’s not a race, maybe slow, steady, and in control is the way to go. Let’s try this again…

Yes! Success! After a few attempts, a lot of determination and perseverance, as well as time to think and modify the approach, you feel a huge sense of pride because you tackled this challenge! Time to celebrate!!

Whatever the challenge may be, I hope you cannonball in, isn’t that right, Tara Martin?

Because who knows, you may just learn a thing or two along the way while also reaching your goal!

Caden, thank you for always inspiring me and helping me to see things in a new light. Je t’aime!

PS – Caden is now obsessed with going back to his first method to see if he can also be successful that way! He has a good 3 days left in the pool to get it done! 🙂
