Why Not Me? Pursuing Your Dreams Without Sacrificing Yourself
What dream have you quietly placed on a shelf?
Not because you stopped wanting it.
Not because it wasn’t important.
But because life got busy.
Because there were children to raise, papers to mark, meals to make, appointments to keep, and a hundred responsibilities demanding your attention.
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that being a good parent, partner, teacher, or caregiver meant putting ourselves last.
We learned to say, “Maybe someday.”
We learned to wait until life was less busy.
Until the kids were older.
Until we had more time.
Until we felt more confident.
Until we felt ready.
But what if that day never comes?
Over the past few years, I’ve been challenged to ask myself a different question:
Why not me?
Why not pursue the dream?
Why not take the risk?
Why not write the book, start the business, run the race, apply for the opportunity, or finally try the thing that’s been sitting on your heart for years?
That question became even more meaningful during my breast cancer journey.
When you’re reminded that life is precious and time is not guaranteed, you begin to look differently at the dreams you’ve been postponing.
You begin to realize that pursuing your goals isn’t selfish.
It’s part of fully living.
The challenge, of course, is that many of us think pursuing our dreams requires sacrificing everything else.
We imagine we have to choose…
Our families or our goals.
Our responsibilities or our passions.
Stability or fulfillment.
But what if that’s not true?
What if there was another way?
What if pursuing your dreams didn’t require becoming someone completely different?
What if it started with small, intentional steps and a willingness to believe that your goals matter, too?
That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring in my upcoming webinar:
Why Not Me? Pursuing Your Dreams Without Sacrificing Yourself
Together, we’ll unpack the beliefs that keep so many of us stuck in cycles of self-sacrifice, guilt, and waiting. We’ll talk about what it means to pursue your goals while still showing up for the people who matter most. Most importantly, we’ll explore practical ways to move forward without burning yourself out in the process.
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about living more fully.
It’s about recognizing that your dreams aren’t in competition with your family, your career, or your responsibilities.
And it’s about finally giving yourself permission to ask:
Why not me?
If you’ve ever felt stuck between the life you’re living and the life you’re dreaming about, I hope you’ll join me.
Because the world doesn’t need another exhausted woman who has forgotten herself.
It needs women who are willing to step forward, use their gifts, and live the one life they’ve been given.
And maybe this is your season to begin.

P.S. If this message resonates with you, stay tuned. I’m working on something special for those who want to continue the conversation and dive even deeper after the webinar.
